Data deals register

What companies actually get paid for their data

Every entry is a real, published transaction with its price and its receipts. A deal with no live source is not listed — a comparable is a price with a receipt.

How this register is built
What gets in
One party paying another for access to, or ownership of, a dataset, an archive, a content corpus or a data feed. Company acquisitions are excluded unless the data is the stated asset.
What is refused
Any transaction whose sources do not resolve. Every URL is fetched before the entry is written, and an entry no live source can back is rejected rather than published without a receipt.
How to read a price
Amounts are copied as stated — never converted, never rounded, never estimated. Each one carries its basis: an asset price paid once, a yearly fee, or a multi-year total. They are not comparable to each other without it.
What it does not claim
Exhaustiveness. Most data transactions are never published, and among those that are, the price is usually withheld — an undisclosed price is recorded as undisclosed, not estimated.
